How is Dr. Napolitano's Discount Plan different from dental insurance?
Dr. Napolitano's Dental Discount Plan is NOT insurance. It's a membership program where you pay an annual fee to access significantly discounted rates at participating dental providers. Unlike insurance, there are no claims to file, no annual maximums, no waiting periods for procedures, and no restrictions on pre-existing conditions. You simply pay the discounted rate directly to your dentist at the time of service.
What exactly is included in the price of membership?
Your membership includes 2 cleanings per year, 2 regular exams, all necessary X-rays, 1 emergency exam if needed, and fluoride treatments. Beyond these included services, members receive significant discounts on all additional procedures: 12% savings for adults and 17% savings for children/seniors on everything from fillings to crowns and root canals.
Is there a family discount available?
Yes! We offer an additional 5% discount for family members when multiple people in the same household join. This makes our plan even more affordable for families looking to maintain good oral health together. Simply indicate the family members when enrolling to receive this additional discount.
What are the costs for the different plans?
Our Adult plan costs $960 annually, and the Child/Senior plan (for those under 14 or over 60) costs $825 annually. All payments are due upfront at the time of enrollment to activate your membership benefits.
Are there any procedures that aren't covered by the discount?
Our plan provides discounts on most dental procedures performed at Dr. Napolitano's office, but a few specific procedures are excluded: Nitrous (D9230), Laser pocket disinfection (D1999), and LANAP (D499). Additionally, orthodontic treatments (CDT Codes D8000-D8999) are not included in the discount program. For procedures not available at our practice, you may be referred to specialists, but the discount plan will not apply to their services.
Can I use this plan with my existing dentist?
No, this plan discount only applies to services done within Dr. Napolitano's office. The membership benefits and discounts cannot be used at other dental practices.
What if I need to see a specialist?
If you require specialist care not available at Dr. Napolitano's office, we will provide a referral to a qualified specialist. Please note that the discount plan does not apply to services performed by outside specialists. You will be responsible for the specialist's standard fees.
Are there any waiting periods before I can use the benefits?
No! One of the biggest advantages of our discount plan is that there are absolutely no waiting periods. Your benefits are active immediately after your enrollment is processed, typically within 1-3 business days. This means you can schedule dental work right away and receive the discounted rates on all covered services, including major procedures.
Can I cancel my membership if I'm not satisfied?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. If you cancel within the first 30 days and haven't used any benefits, you're eligible for a full refund. After 30 days or if you've used benefits, your membership will remain active until the end of your annual term. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial years.
